We’re so excited to finally introduce you to our Style Ambassador, Sinead Watkins aka The Girl With The Bob. Sinead’s style is quirky, retro and oh-so unique and that’s why we love her!
With a style ethos centred around her sleek hairdo, Sinead opts for cool, tailored pieces styled with a modern twist: a pop of colour, a bold print or unexpected proportions and accessories. Not one to shy away from top to toe colour, you’ll seldom see an all-black ensemble here! Ruffles, slogan tees, flared hemlines and statement earrings are the style du jour for Sinead. She’s also an avid denim lover, so is often seen in a myriad of styles and washes!

Who do you consider your style icons?
I adore so many different women for their amazing personal style but favourites include Megan Ellaby, Yasmin Sewell, Pandora Sykes, Leandra Medine and cool Scandi street stylers such as Jeanette Madsen, Hanna Stefansson and Hanna Mw. I don’t really look to celebrities too often, however, Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things fame is such a cool and exciting dresser! So much style and still so young… it’s kind of depressing!
What are your favourite trends for the season ahead?
Spring Summer ’18 has some very exciting things in store which is amazing (if we ever get the weather to rock them). I’m loving head to toe pastel looks, bold clashing prints, logo/slogan mania and the continued rise of the kitten heel and slimline sunglasses!
A chronicle of personal style and fashion inspiration, Sinead Watkins is the voice (and the hair!) behind The Girl With The Bob. A Brisbane girl who traded the Aussie sun for the cobblestone streets of Galway; Sinead is a fashion mad blogger, writer and Visual Merchandiser whose bob hairdo is infamous around town. Whether launching window schemes, styling mannequins or writing features for Galway Now magazine, she hopes to bring a little taste of her own individual style to inspire the people of Galway. Where do you find style inspiration?
Instagram is a huge source of inspiration for me. There’s such a wealth of content being created every single day so it’s hard not to stumble upon fresh ideas. In saying that, I still adore buying magazines and having something tangible to delve into. I love reading Vogue, Glamour, Hello! Fashion and Look magazine!
When did you start your fashion blog?
The Girl With The Bob came to be towards the end of 2015 but it was very much a side project for a long time. Last year, I really fell back in love with blogging and creating content for Instagram and I’m so excited to be working with Willow and the amazing brands they stock as a result!
Why did you decide to relocate to Ireland from Australia?
My boyfriend is a Galway lad, but I’ve actually been an Irish dancer for over 20 years. We met dancing in a professional show in Australia, so once it wrapped up it made sense for me to based in Ireland to continue touring. I performed with shows on five continents and saw so many amazing parts of the world. In the end, I grew to love Galway too much to leave and have been here six years now!
How do you think your style fits with Willow?
I’m very excited to be a Style Ambassador for Willow as I feel the aesthetic of the store and my style go hand in hand. As a quirkier and statement dresser, I’m always on the lookout for something different and unlike what everyone else has. With the brands Willow stock, and the selection of pieces curated from their collections, this is a place where I am always able to do so. I’ve long loved brands such as C/meo Collective, Essentiel Antwerp and Sister Jane so it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to work with the store which houses them all!
