Meet Trish | Style Ambassador

Trish O’Sullivan is our go-to Galway Girl for all things bright and beautiful. She is a fashion and lifestyle blogger, personal stylist and marketing consultant based in Galway city and the newest member of our Style Ambassador team.

Ooh, this is a tough one! There are so many amazing women with a fabulous style that I absolutely adore. My own personal style can vary so much – one day I’m all about scandi minimalism the next I’m wearing head to toe colour – and that is reflected in my icons. I have always loved Olivia Palermo’s style and Anine Bing and Victoria Beckham are constant sources of wardrobe envy. More and more though I am getting my inspo from seriously stylish girls on Instagram like Emma Hill, Monikh Dale and We Are Twinset.

Obviously, for someone who spends as much time on Instagram as I do, it is a massive source of style inspo for me. There are endless amazing accounts out there so it’s hard not to be inspired. It can be overwhelming sometimes too though! I also love using Instagram to go back over old outfits I’ve worn and found new ways to wear them. Aside from Instagram I still love flicking through fashion mags like Vogue – I love the escapism and creativity of high fashion.

I started The Savvy Sartorialist in 2016; I was in my early 30’s and working as Head of Marketing for a recruitment agency in Dublin and wanted a more creative outlet. I didn’t do the typical year in Australia after college so I decided to take a career break and began a course in personal and editorial styling while interning with magazines and working on shoots. My course director encouraged me to start writing and the Savvy Sartorialist was born!

Choosing the name was quite a process…months of writing down combinations of words none of which really grabbed me. At the end of the day, my ethos is all about being clever with your purchases, knowing what suits you and getting creative with what you already own. The Savvy Sartorialist combines all of that for me! 

I am always on the lookout for quirkier pieces to add to my wardrobe and with the brands Willow stocks you are always guaranteed to find something that little bit different! As a print lover, I adore brands like Sister Jane and Essentiel Antwerp which are carried in the store. I like to wear things that are a little more unique and Willow is all about unique and interesting pieces as well as great quality basics.
