Who we are
Willow is the trading name of Killow Retail Limited (company no. 510610), 4 O'Connell Street, Ennis, Co. Clare, V95 KR81. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. For any privacy question, email info@willow.ie or call the shop on 065 689 1342.
What we collect
- Your orders: name, email, phone, delivery and billing address, what you bought, and your order history. Card details are handled by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number.
- Your account: if you create one, your login details and saved addresses.
- Emails and texts: your email address (and phone number if you give it) when you sign up for news and offers, and whether you open or click our emails.
- Using our website: pages viewed, items added to your bag, device and browser type, approximate location and IP address, collected through cookies and similar tools.
- Contacting us: what you tell us when you email, call, message us on social media or leave a review.
- In the shop: we use CCTV for the safety and security of customers and staff.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To take, deliver and look after your order, including returns, refunds and customer service. This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
- To keep records and meet our legal obligations, for example tax and accounting rules and consumer law.
- To prevent fraud and keep our website secure. This is in our legitimate interests. Our checkout provider screens orders for fraud risk.
- To send you news, offers and new arrivals by email or text. We do this only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by contacting us.
- To show you relevant Willow ads on social media and Google, and to measure how our website and ads perform. Where this uses cookies, we rely on your consent through our cookie banner.
- To improve our website and service, in our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We share only what's needed with the companies that help us run Willow:
- Shopify, which hosts our website and checkout
- Payment providers, including Shopify Payments and PayPal
- DPD and other couriers, to deliver your order
- Klaviyo, for our emails
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, for advertising and measurement
- Hotjar, to understand how our website is used
- Growave, for reviews and wishlists
- Our in-store till and stock system, and our accountants and professional advisers
We may also share information where the law requires it, for example with An Garda Síochána or Revenue. We never sell your personal information.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under data protection law, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Order and payment records: 6 years, as required by Irish tax law.
- Marketing details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Your account: until you ask us to close it.
- CCTV footage: up to 30 days, unless it's needed to investigate an incident.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@willow.ie. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.
Cookies
We use cookies to make our website work, to remember your bag, and, with your consent, for analytics and advertising. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings on our website or in your browser.
Changes
We'll update this policy if the way we use your information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
