The Highland Pants are a wide-leg checked trouser from Parisian label FRNCH, in a fine brown and cream micro-check. A trouser with the manner of tailoring and the comfort of something softer.

The leg is cut wide and straight from a clean flat-fronted waistband, falling full length without a turn-up. Two welt pockets sit at the back. The check is small and dense enough to read as a warm brown from across a room, with the pattern only apparent close up, which is what makes it easy to wear rather than loud.

Fit and sizing: flat-fronted with a wide, full-length leg. Available in sizes XS to XL.

Fabric and care: 67% polyester, 33% viscose. Cool gentle wash or dry clean. Warm iron. Do not tumble dry.

How to wear it: with a plain knit or a cream shirt and a loafer or ankle boot. The check is the pattern in the outfit, so keep the top half quiet — the Agora Top or Mickle Jumper in cream both work.
